Ukraine War: Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner Talk to Volodymyr Zeenskyy in Norway
US negotiators Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff want to talk again in Oslo about the end of the war, including with Volodymyr Zelenskyi. Meanwhile, three people were killed in the night near Kiev.

Against the backdrop of rising tensions between Washington and Kiev, a new round of negotiations is reportedly taking place on Tuesday to end Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Reuters and the news portal “Axios” report that US negotiators Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff want to meet with representatives of Ukraine and European allies in Norway. Zelensky is also expected at the meeting.
On Tuesday, Norwegian Prime Minister Alexander Stubb confirmed Zelensky’s presence in his country.
After the talks with Zelensky, Vitkoff is scheduled to travel to Moscow, “where he hopes to meet President Vladimir Putin and present ideas,” Axios quotes a US official. The White House in Washington initially did not respond to a request from the AFP news agency about the report.
Acts of war continue, however. In a Russian airstrike in the region around Kiev, three people were killed and six others injured in the night, according to local information. Russian forces have hit a production and warehouse building in the vicinity of the Ukrainian capital, whereupon a fire broke out, according to the local rescue service on Telegram. The fire is now extinguished. The Russian side also reported several successful attacks on logistics centers and cargo ships in Ukraine on Tuesday morning.
