AfD confirms hacker attack on email accounts

Alice Weidel: E-mails of the party leader should also have been leaked

In a hacker attack, according to AfD information, alleged data from e-mail accounts of the party were captured. Unknown published on the Internet according to their own data, which is about 421,000 e-mails of the party. Whether these are authentic or not is still unclear. It is allegedly data from ten mailboxes, including an account in the name of the former AfD party leader Alexander Gauland and an account that was formerly named by the AfD as a contact for the Federal office.

The party confirmed that data were captured. “In September 2026, there was a hacker attack on a hosting service provider of our party, in which parts of a few mailboxes – most of which had not been used for years – were illegally copied,” the AfD said on request. Previously, the “image” had reported. Accordingly, e-mails have also been published, which should come from the party leader Alice Weidel, but probably not her own e-mail account was hacked. Current e-mail inboxes of the AfD-Bundesverband have not been affected according to the party.

The AfD further stated that the attack was quickly recognized and ended. All users were informed accordingly. “The online publication that has now taken place is probably part of this data will be examined,” it said. An initial assessment of this can only be given after the completion of this examination.

With advanced links to Android phones and the best of Google built in, can these Googlebooks really compete with a MacBook Air or Surface Laptop? I took two for a spin to find out.For years, Chromebooks have been the boss of budget laptops, but Googlebooks take a different, far more premium approach. Made by a r...

Don’t be fooled. The AI that was supposed to save us time is doing just the opposite | Gaby Hinsliff

The government says it can transform the state with AI, but it is no match for the resulting stream of machine-generated slop. And we all pay the costAnother morning, another avalanche of emails. Even after a guilty cull, my inbox is sitting at well over 7,000, but lately I’ve started subscribing to the Quentin Crisp theory of housework: why bother, when after four years or so you stop noticing the accumulating dust? Empty inboxes just fill up again anyway. In theory, email was supposed to save hours of meetings, phone calls and standing over photocopiers. Instead, we just spend hours...
