Memory Price Per PS6 Touch Rp 12 Millions?

Word is, the storage components and memory for Sony's PS6 will cost millions per console. If that's true, then the latest PlayStation console will be very expensive.

This information came from an informant who had previously given an accurate report on AMD hardware, Kepler L2, on a forum called NeoGAF. According to him, for RAM + NAND alone will be over $680 or about Rp 12.3 million, quoted from VGC, Monday (19 / 10 / 2026).

As previously reported, in recent years, memory and storage costs have skyrocketed. That's due to lack of supplies, due to the demand of the AI data center too high.

Altogether, electronic prices have improved. One example could lead to a PS5 that now costs almost 50% more than the first time it was launched.

When it was first released in Indonesia on January 22, 2021, PS5 Digital Edition was worth Rp 7,299,000, while the Disc Edition was disassociated by Rp 8,79,000. Now, PS5 Digital Edition RP 9999,000 and Disc Edition worth Rp 11.400,000.

Earlier this year, industrial analysts even debated whether the next generation console will be sold for more than 1,000 dollars. It's headed off from a new hardware price that's currently at the highest point of all time.

CEO Aldora, Joost van Dreunen, said he believed it was bound to happen. He also predicted that the latest console, whether it was PS6 or the successor of the Xbox Series X / S called Project Helix, will not be released until 2028.

"At this rate, the next generation may not even be released until 2028, and when it does, it's worth over a thousand dollars. Even the existing device had a price increase,

Newzoo market intelligence director, Manu Rosier, believes the next basic model of console will be worth three digits. According to him, it was seen by PS5 Pro.

"The PS5 Pro has been sold for $899 after twice the increase in a year, so the distance to USD 1,000 is imminent. The next generation model will probably stay under the $999 for psychological and marketing reasons," said he.

While the latest information about PS6 is known that Sony has filed a patent regarding the game controller, which is linked to this console. Interestingly, the controller is meant to be full touch screen.

So the company engineers are considering completely eliminating mechanical control, including analog, d-pad, and a number of other physical buttons. They were planning to replace it with touchpad, which digitally displays the buttons.

Then the PS6 launch schedule is still a mystery. In a Totoki interview with the Wall Street Journal, he revealed that the company still hasn't set a release date. Although during the conversation there was very little information to be retrieved, the comments show that the PlayStation could have delayed the PS6 schedule.

Rumor has it that many gamers are expecting the latest console of the PlayStation release 2027. But with that totoki statement, it could have been just a coincidence and retreated to 2028 like the report of a senior MST analyst, Deavid Gibson.
