Luhut reveals the plan of Prabowo Hilirization Kratom and the Ministry in 2027

The chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Panditan to convey President Prabowo Subianto continuing the Hilirization policy. Prabowo is scheduled to inaugurate the hilirization of Kratom and frankincense in 2027.

Luhut said the two hilirization was after the official research center regarding the sequencing of the genome in Toba, North Sumatra.

"About our hilirization still continues, so we will be able to inaugurate the President's Research Center about the sequencing genome in Toba," said Luhut at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (20 / 10 / 2026).

Luhut calls hilirization or downstreaming those two commodities worth tens of billions of dollars. He brought up these values similar to the hilirization of the nickel he was talking about in the 7th era of Jokowi.

"Two of these things I think we'll be looking at the market later. You can also Google a few billion dollars or how many billions of dollars are downstreaming. It's the same as the nickel we started 10 years ago," said Luhut.

According to Luhut, the hilirization of kratom leaves and frankinis in the agricultural sector is an improvement in the current government. He called Prabowo to make it official in March 2027.

"Now President Prabowo's era exists from agriculture, which is hilirization, the hilirization, the frankinesis. This I guess is also the other progress our preparations for this can soon be held," said Luhut.
