Man City Threatened Large Point Reduction to Degradation

Manchester City is threatened with massive points reduction and tail degradation from the Premier League financial violation case.

The financial scandal of one of the British League collectors began to appear in the media in September 2026. In the official report issued by the Premier League, the Premier City was found guilty of over 100 serious violations from 2009 to 2018.

During that period, Man City achieved eight trophies including three Premier League titles.

Now a report from the Daily Mail that Oliver Holt wrote about the Premier League is about to announce sanctions for the Citizen.

It is estimated that a decision will be made public before there are appeal results filed by Man City in late January 2026.

Holt's writing says there's probably going to be a huge reduction in points this season and Man City is going to degrade into the Championship division. In addition there will be another minus points for the next season that will keep the Manchester Blue Club at second level of English football.

In addition to deduction, there are still penalty fines that will burden the club.

The Premier League Independent Commission states that between 2009 and 2010 to 2017 / 2018 Man City are committing violations such as setting up fake contracts with a number of commercial partners and making false deals with other parties to increase club income.

The Premier League also says that Man City gave the wrong financial report and hid the real financial state from the auxiliary.
