"Let's do it responsibly."

Menko Polkam Dudung Abdurachman confirmed the importance of freedom of speech. He asked all parties to execute with responsibility.

"Let's do it responsibly."

Menko Polkam (Purn (Purn.) Minister of Policy Field Coordinators (Menko Poll) General Purn (Purn.) Abdurachman's trust confirms freedom of opinion is a constitutional right to be kept in democratic life. Even so, it says the need for responsibility, ethics, and respect for other people's rights does not cause rifts.

It was delivered by Dudung in response to recent developments of the situation, including the action taking place in multiple locations, Tuesday (20 / 10 / 2026). In the audience, the freedom of speech is an important part of the law.

"Democracy requires the voice of the people. Honest critics and fresh ideas are energy for the nation's progress. Freedom of speech is a constitutional right that we should keep together," said DuHood in his statement.

He reminded me, freedom of speech doesn't mean that one can ignore the responsibility for his words and actions. People can still deliver critics firmly without insulting or demeaning to others.

"We can be different, but not enemies. We can criticize hard, but there's no need to insult. We may disagree, but we still have to respect the Indonesian character. Santun doesn't mean weak, firm doesn't mean rough, brave doesn't mean losing the custom," obviously.

It also allows people to maintain ethic communication, including when using social media. According to him, digital space has become a part of public space so every statement that is delivered has to be considered impact and consequence.

"Social media is actually a very large public space. Therefore, every word we write becomes responsibility and has consequences. Our freedom remains in the constitutional corridor and the law, so that our right is not the reason for taking away others' rights," says the former Chief of Staff of the Army.

Besides, the Dudung reminds us of the importance of checking information before trusting or spreading it. He encouraged the habit of doing clarification and tabayun needed to prevent the spread of false information.

It says that the value of religion and the value of Indonesian culture teaches the importance of keeping the word, respect each other, and avoiding any action that can hurt others. It's the foundation for building healthy public space in the midst of community diversity.

Also a reminder of President Prabowo Subianto's message in order that people keep their love for the Fatherland and put the nation first above the different groups and groups.

"Indonesia is a great nation because it is able to live in differences. Don't let dissent divide the brotherhood. Don't let a single uplift ruin the fantasy that we build and keep together," he said.

And the people are getting used to three things, which are thinking before talking, checking before spreading information, and keeping the manners and honour in their opinion.

"Please make a sound, please criticize, please differ opinion. However, let's do it all with common sense, a good heart and a responsible citizen. Because Indonesia doesn't need silent citizens," obviously a stooge.
