The MBG Manage Repair Government, tightening SOP and SPPG Discipline

The government tightens the management and operational standards of the Gizi Preservation Service Unit to ensure the execution of the Free Bergizi Eating Program (MBG) goes according to provisions. The kitchen surveillance, the standard fulfilment of hygiene and sanitation, up until monitoring through the security cameras became part of the attempt to purify it.

Minister of Pangan Zulkifli Hasan said that the government has set four priorities for MBG justification towards two years of government, the unification of service in the left, the forefront, and the outlying (3T), repair the SPPG management, increased security and the nutrition of food, and the forwarding of the beneficiaries and the eradication of perversion.

It was delivered by Zulkifli in the limited coordination meeting of the Minister of Enforcement Program MBG, Monday (19 / 10).

"Entering two years of government, President MBG's direction soon is evenly implemented, especially in area 3T and areas with high-stress prevalence. We have a lack of understanding, management, and deviation in our conduct.

In justification of the management, the government did a reenactment to ensure that every SPPG operating would meet the set requirements.

Under the terms of the Temporary Enforcement Order 2 (SPPS 2), the SPPG that meets operational criteria must have the ADAL Higiene Sanitation (SLHS) certificate, not being suspended while or suspended, has never experienced fatal events, and serves more than 1,000 beneficiaries.

National Gizi Agency (BGN) records the data of 26,385 SPPG operating in SPS 2. The government also implemented a new incentive scheme of Rp2,000 per portion that took effect starting October 2, 2026 as part of repairing the MBG management.

The chief of BGN Sudaryono says the advanced SPPG operational surveillance will be reinforced through the installation and CCTV integration in every kitchen with a monitoring system at the central level. Artificial intelligence technology or artificially intelligence will be used to help monitor SOP compliance.

"So all of those kitchens have CCTV, only the CCTV is not connected, only consumed by the internal of that kitchen. So we were pilots, there was about 70-something kitchen that we were piloting," said he.

"For the CCTV we pull to the center, we give the artificially intelligence, so we can monitor SOP.

Through the system, the government targets surveillance on the operating stage of the kitchen to be done more structured, from food prep, processing process, to food supply laundering or spawning.

This move is expected to help ensure that the procedure goes by standard and reduce the risk of an unfortunate beneficiary.

In addition to surveillance through technology, the government will strengthen the role of the MBG Task Force in the area to perform monitoring and monitoring as per duty and function set in the rule of President 115 Year 2025.

On the side of the service alignment, BGN has activated 480 new SPPG in 16 Eastern Indonesia provinces on 2nd October. The second stage is followed by the new 980 SPPG activation in Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Bali on October 14.

Meanwhile, stage three is scheduled to take place in the fourth week of October with focus on boarding schools and religious schools in remote areas.

SpPG 3T technical instructions targeted during this week to provide operational confirmation for SPPG in the region that has been activated.

The government also tested the application of food presenting methods in the buffet after conducting appeal studies or benchmarching studies to a number of experienced countries, among which Japan and Italy. These methods have been conducted in 66 SPPG in 10 provinces.

The test results show that the buffet method can keep food warm when presented, reduce leftovers, as well as strengthen nutrition education through teacher and student involvement. The government will evaluate the tests periodically before expanding its application to other areas.

Containment also includes forwarding data of beneficiaries to make the MBG distribution more accurate and precise. The forward beneficiary data must be validated by name and address or by name by address (BNBA) and linked to the Parent Number of the Population.

The data includes students, santry, and group 3B made up of toddlers, pregnant mothers, and nursing mothers. Data integration will be the basis for targeting the program as well as an MBG impact evaluation.
