Just no mathematical formulas and physical equations? The series for children also makes scientific issues palatable for math, physics and science muffle. This episode takes us on a journey to the milestones that allowed us to discover a special material: plastic. The focus is on scientists such as Goodyear and Baekeland. Man is always looking for new materials to make things out of them. Already 200,000 years ago, he discovered a plant-based moldable adhesive that could be used to produce more solid tools. Nowadays, plastics are indispensable in our everyday life, whether in packaging, toys or clothing. Our consumer society produces and consumes vast amounts of it every day. But how well do we really know them? This episode takes us on a journey to the milestones that allowed humanity to discover a special material: plastic. The focus is on scientists such as Goodyear and Baekeland. "Impulse" has set itself the task of awakening the enthusiasm for science of those who have always considered themselves scientifically ungifted. The series aims to introduce and inspire complex topics such as genetics, fluid mechanics, electromagnetic waves, microbiology or quantum physics. And then say again, science is not fun! Note on the production of “impulses”: The series combines different creative processes. The animations are created entirely by our graphic artists without the use of AI. The scenes with shadow and VFX elements are created from a mixture of acting in front of green screen, visual effects and partly AI-supported tools. The AI used is used exclusively on the basis of self-created material from the series and is not trained with external data. All central creative services such as script, music, voices in German and English, storyboards, editing and sound and image editing are created entirely by our team without the support of AI. The aim of production is to combine different creative and technical processes without replacing human artistic work.
