Prabowo, get rid of the biggest EV battery factory

Total investment for battery factory development to the capacity of 15 GWh is estimated to reach about US $1.2 billion equivalent Rp 21.19 trillion.

As a matter of fact, the capacity of 15 GWh is the equivalent of being able to power about 250,000 electrical vehicles.

The construction of a factory that was in Artha Industry Hill (ALH) & The New Industry City (NICC) Carbular, West Java began on June 29, 2025. The Prabowo inaugurated the laying of the first stone or groundbreaking at the time.

With the factory operating this July 2026, it means the construction of "just" took about 13 months.

This is the second battery factory of electric vehicles after the factory belonging to PT Hyundai LG Indonesia (HlI) Green Power in Cardacy operates and was declared in July 2024.

The CATABs integrated battery factory in the Clairvoyant was built in an area that covers a cell factory of 1 km and a packing facility next to it. In the process of producing it, the input of battery material was processed into cell forms before the packer's development.

In terms of operational factories, the IBC has run a science transfer program by sending 600 employees to train in China.
