Owner of the Zahra Oto Self-Self and Vice President Tour, Ustaz Khalid Basalamah, was a witness in the case of suspected additional hajji corruption in 2023- 2024. In his testimony, he confessed to the transfer of the fee of the hajji acceleration that was passed on to the Ministry of the Yaqut Choli Qoumas worth 554,500 to KPK.

The trial is held at the Central Jakarta Tipikor Court, Tuesday (20 / 10 / 2026). The prosecution originally asked about the return of money by Basalamah staff named Muhamad Ulfi Makhrija to KPK.

"As far as I know, did your staff ever put any money into a KPK shelter account?" asked the Attorney KPK.

"We started one at a time. This is evidence, permission, Madam Chairman, evidence number 1590, there's a sum of money in a $100 bill. If in evidence it says something like this, 1590, $354,500 in cash in the form of $100 bills. Brother found out about this, Brother Witness?" asked the prosecutor.

The DA went into a $200,000 cash impound. Basalamah confirmed the seizure. "Next up is evidence number 1591. We have a foreclosure, our investigators are making a foreclosure of the amount of money that was deposited through the BNI bank transfer.

The DA is measuring the 200 grand. Its value is shared in multiple transfers, worth 37 thousand dollars, 13 thousand dollars, and 50 thousand dollars.

"There's about, like, one, worth 37 grand. Then the second one, there's 13 grand, right, sir?

"Then the third one is 50 thousand dollars, Muhammad Ulfi Makhrija, the evidence of this transfer was delivered. Then there's 50 grand back and then there's 50 grand. Total is $200,000 this. Right?" asked the prosecutor.

In this case, ek Menag Yaqut Cholil Qoumas was accused of harming the financial capital of Rp 622,090.207.166.41 (622 billion) in the case of suspected additional hajas' corruption 2023-2024. The prosecution says this was done by Yaqut with the Ketum Kesthuri Association Asrul Azis Taba, a former Yaqut special staff named ISUG Abidal Azis AKA Gus Alex, and Director of Operations PT Makassar Toraja (Maktour) Ishmael Adham.

The prosecution says that the charge of extra hajji quotas in 2023-2024 is against the legal provisions in order to accommodate the request of the Special Haji Enforcement Association. The prosecution believes this has enriched Yaqut for 271,500 dollars or if converted with the current value of the money around Rp 4.833.786,000 (4.8 billion).

Also, prosecutors believe this is also enriching a number of other parties including 313 special pilgrimage corporations. The prosecution says there is a practice of buying special hajji quota, buying the pilgrim quota to fee acceleration in this matter, so that there are people who are supposed to go to Hajj but fail to leave, and there are people who don't have the right to leave but are set aside.
