Windows 11 Makin, PC with RAM 8GB No More Tensions
Microsoft finished improving the experience on Windows 11. PC owner with RAM 8GB called could sense significant increase.
A while back, Microsoft laid out his plan to fix Windows 11, focus on performance. Now Microsoft claims Windows 11 offers a 20% more responsive experience, even on a device with a small RAM.
In his blog post, Microsoft said they had completed the Start, the Explorer File, Search, Edge, and other Windows 11 sections to feel faster and more responsive.
Navjot Virk, the Vice Vice President of Windows Experience at Microsoft says the increase is obtained by using the memory and system's more intelligent resources.
"We have increased memory management and efficiency throughout the Windows system to keep your PC resources focused on what is working on right now," said Virk, as quoted from The Verge, Saturday (17 / 10 / 2026).
Virk adds Windows 11 can now store up to 2GB more active data in memory, rather than being moved to slower storage. It says a PC user with RAM 8GB should be able to sense significant performance enhancement.
"For example, on a PC with 8GB or less memory, Widget will only be loaded when opened by a user, so it provides more than 200 MB of memory for your application and other jobs," said Virk.
Microsoft also changes Windows Update to avoid disturbing, cleaning Widget sections, and allowing users to move taskbars to the side or top of the screen.
The login using Windows Hello has also been accelerated, and the installation of accessory via Bluetooth has become more smooth, including the installation of 15 seconds faster than before.
The next step Microsoft will do is release a faster new Windows Search. That update is currently available for Windows Insiders, and Microsoft plans to release it to more users by the end of the year.
