WEC FIA: WRT 32 Finis the 10th in Barcelona

In the LMGT3 class race WEC 2026 at Circuit de Barcelona- Catalunya, Sunday (18 / 10), the WRT 32 that started from the sixth position was brought by Darren Leung as a starter driver.

Leung found tracks very wet, but he managed to avoid the accident of several cars in the early race

Leung's own position went up because he was on P4 but went down to P7 and at the end after doing two stint of that position he took turns driving with Sean.

When Sean was driving, this was the highest position, which was P4.

Let alone two penalties of an additional stop five seconds in the pit stop due to Leung and Sean's incident as they were in contact with other cars, have affected the position of the race.

When Augusto Farfus performed as the last WRT 32 race, the drama didn't stop. He's taken an M4 BMW on P5 again, but later detected a maximum speed breach at the Virtual Safety Car.

As a result, WRT 32 will have to go through penalty drive and position down to P13.

But then there are two penalties that hit two cars on P8 (Proton Competition # 88) and P11 (Garage 59 # 58).

Proton Competition # 88 was disqualified from the race for failing to be in parc ferme after race independently. Their Ford Mustang stops at Curve 11 and it has to be towed.

While Garage team # 58 ignored the black flag and Orange the sign must stop at the pit to repair the car.

These offenses make them exposed to drive through penalty and converted an extra 44 seconds of their race time. The result of the 32 WRT final to -10 and bringing home one point.

"The race is not easy because of the various obstacles. We're grateful to be home with the points," Sean said in release to the Sport seconds.
