The Invasion of Fleaky Geek in the Plane Cabin

Qantas international airlines were forced to cancel the Roman route to Perth after an invasion of bedbugs in the economic seat of his flight Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The cancellation occurred after passengers on the forwarding flight nearly 17 hours from Perth to Rome reported bitten by the bug on Friday (9 / 10), ransacking the Sydney Morning Herald report.

Qantas Airways Limited issued a formal apology for cancelling Saturday's flight schedule from Rome in order to complete the ship's fleet.

"We extend sincere apologies to the customers for cancellation of the Roman-Perth service on Saturday. This was done so that our team of technicians and maintenance could perform a deep cleaning after a small amount of problems in the economic seat," strictly Qantas to Fox News.

One of the passengers, Hailey Bagnall, revealed her horrific experience watching the insects creep around the corner of the cabin.

"The bedbugs crept over our stuff, clothes, Qantas blankets, even they crept through the windows of the plane," revealed Bagnall.

Some passengers claim to have been awakened by the screams of passengers in mid-flight because fleas keep popping up from the side and side seats until they get into their shoes and clothes.

The complaint of the whereabouts of the bedbugs has actually been reported since the first segment transit flight from Sydney to Perth.

The airline claims to take precautions before the plane takes off for Rome, including cleaning out cabins, taking off seat covers and upholding cloth, and isolated the area of affected chairs.

In order to ease the bite itch, the cabin crew was able to share antihistamine medicine with the passengers until the stock was exhausted.

Rome's return flight has been canceled, Qantas is paying hotel accommodations for impacted passengers and diverting their flight within 48 hours.

An entomologist from Orkin's pest-handling company Benjamin Hottel explains that a bedbug is a highly skilled "passerby" on human personal items.

Although the bite triggers itching and swelling, medical authorities confirm that the bedbugs do not spread dangerous diseases.

Hottel advised tourists to check the luggage and put second-hand clothing traveling into high-temperature dryer for 30 to 45 minutes to exterminate the potential insects that were carried home.
