Japan launches mission to Mars moons – ARD correspondent answers questions
A Japanese spacecraft along with the Franco-German rover “Idefix” has set off for Mars. An H3 rocket successfully took off with the probe from Japan's Tanegashima Space Station on the island of the same name in the southwest of the country. The aim of the space mission is the Mars moon Phobos. This is where the “idefix” designed by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the French space agency CNES will be set up in 2029. Later, the main probe will also land there and collect rock samples. More about it here
