At the branch of archery sport, Nurisa Dian Ashrifah also created history by presenting the first Indonesian gold medal during participation in Asian Games.
Minister of Youth and Sports, Erick Thohir assessed the value of various levels of direct sports, measured targets and strong collaboration. He confirmed that athlete's success needs to be the foundation to build a sustainable coaching system in order to achieve a higher achievement, including the Olympics.
"This feat shows that when coaching is done with focus, measured targets, and strong collaboration, our athletes can compete and create history. We don't want the success to come once in a while," Erick said in a written statement, Tuesday (20 / 10 / 2026).
"Achievement must be built through consistent systems, from nursery, coaching to international competition. Therefore, today's achievement must be the foundation for higher achievement, including heading to the Olympics," it adds.
In addition to strengthening the performance of the sport, the Ministry has also accelerated the transformation of youth policy towards 100 years of the Youth Oath in 2028. The attempt was made through the drafting of the blueprint of national breeding and the Great Design of the Indonesian Youth Character, which rests on three major values, which are patriotic, persistent and empathic.
Erick explained, those three values are directed to form young people who have a love and responsibility for the nation, tough for global change and competition, and have social care.
He thinks those values are the basis for preparing young people to face challenges and contribute to Indonesian progress.
He confirmed that preparation for a century's youth oath should be oriented to forming generations capable of deciding the future of Indonesia. He thinks Indonesia needs a patriotic, persistent, empathetic young man to be able to face challenges and to bring the nation to progress.
"Ahead 100 years of Youth's Oath, our challenge is not only how to remember the history of the young people who unite nations, but how to prepare a generation capable of deciding the future of Indonesia. The young man who is not only proud to be Indonesian, but also has the skills, the courage, and the care to bring Indonesia into an advanced nation," obviously.
Erick explained that the whole transformation was part of the Ministry's commitment to translating President Prabowo Subianto's vision of building superior human resources, strengthening the nation's rival power, and making sports and youth a long-term investment.
He thinks that commitment needs to be fulfilled through a system of reinforcement that can maintain the continuity of the performance of the sport and construction of young characters.
He confirmed that the achievement over the past two years needs to be followed by a strengthening system to keep Indonesia from giving birth to accomplished athletes and young people who are able to bring the nation forward.
"These two years are part of the transformation trip. We've seen the results, but we're not done yet. The measure of success is not just how many medals we won today, but how strong the system we built to keep Indonesia from giving birth to champions and young people who were able to bring this nation forward.
