The ministry and CIMA Bhakal Wadahi People's School of Maritime

The Ministry of Social Services and Consortium of Indonesia Manning Agenies are discussing a co-operation plan for a public school graduate. This collaboration aims for students who have finished high school education to have the opportunity to follow vocation and career education in the maritime industry.

It was revealed during the time of the Wamensos Vice Minister, Agus Jabo Priyono received a hearing from the CMA's Chairman Cant Gatot Cahyo Sudewo at the Ministry Office, Jakarta, today. As for CIMA, it's a non-profit organization of 98 companies and it's moving in both national and international shipping sectors.

Then Jabo explained that President Prabowo Subianto hired public school to cut transmission of poverty between generations. Therefore, it takes cooperation with various parties to help graduate the People's School get jobs and improve its lifespan. One of them through a collaborative plan with CIMA that was welcomed by the Ministry.

Agus Jabo added that the Ministry needs as many strategic partners as possible to ensure that the graduate of the People's School has the opportunity to continue education in college or to enter the world of employment in accordance with their interests and skills.

According to him, the CIMA has a strategic position in supporting that plan because it has extensive networking in the ship's shipping industry, both in and abroad. This potential is expected to pave the way for a public school graduate to acquire skills and career opportunities in the yesterday sector.
