Kevin Bacon waits weeks for a package – and insults delivery service via Instagram

“Where are my clothes?” Kevin Bacon has the same problem as many other customers of various parcel services. On Insta, he complains excessively about a company whose name is similar to “Bread Ex”.

Kevin Bacon waits weeks for a package – and insults delivery service via Instagram

Sometimes it takes a week, sometimes two, then a quarter or a half: If you order things on the Internet or have something sent to you by friends or acquaintances, you know: deliveries of parcel services can develop a very own relationship to the time.

Actor Kevin Bacon, 68, is now also one of the people who got to have this experience. In a video posted on Instagram, the American now tells how he has been waiting for weeks for a package of clothes that he has sent to Ireland, where he is currently working. The way he does this, the pauses he sets, the deep sighs he uses from time to time – all of this suggests that the subject has been occupying him for a while.

The video is titled “Where are my clothes?” and that’s exactly what it’s all about: Bacon first talks that he traveled to Ireland with light luggage and therefore had clothes sent to him. “I don’t buy many clothes; I’ve probably had them since the nineties,” he explains, dressed in a brown jacket and a wine-red shirt, both of which have apparently been around for a while.

But who did Kevin Bacon hire to send, with whom he is apparently so dissatisfied? He does not exactly share that. He just says, “I don’t want to mention the name, but it rhymes with ‘Bread Ex’.”

Furthermore, it becomes clear that Bacon has used the delivery tracking of “Bread Ex” extensively in recent weeks: He says that the package with the clothes had been on the 26. In September, he left the state of New York and was then flown from Memphis, Tennessee, to Germany. It was there on September 28. On September 29, it was shipped directly to Israel. Not to Ireland, to Israel.

Finally, on October 3rd, the package returned from Israel to France, from where it was shipped the next day – to Israel.

At this point, one wonders if this can really be: that someone in the services of “Bread Ex” confuses Ireland with Israel, then the package comes back from there, and then someone else makes such a mistake – But Bacon has gone on with his story. In fact, in Germany, where the package arrived on October 5, according to the actor – from Israel. “On October 6, we went back to Israel.” Not to Ireland, but back to Israel.

Then Bacon raises his voice and intones a loud “but”: On October 10, the package with the clothes reached France, and on October 11, finally, Great Britain. From there, the box actually found its way to Ireland – “Where she has been for five days.”

But why is that? “They say they can’t deliver it.” He doesn’t understand why, Bacon says, shrugging his shoulders. "It's just there." I can't reach anyone by phone. I couldn't talk to anyone.

This shrug must have finally reached the FedEx headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee. In a comment under the video, the company apologizes. “Your package has now been delivered, but we know the experience was not as it should have been.”
