Nearly Swallow Cat, Giant Sanca Serpent Conquered

A snake catcher from South Florida caught a piton or sanca of the largest reptile Python ever captured and measured in Puerto Riko, a place where this invasive snake thrives.

Kevin Pavlidis, more commonly known as' Snakeaholic 'in social media, released a video showing the record-breaking snake, a sanca of about 5.6-meter worth of interest in Puerto Riko's recent hunt.

In Instagram, he said the snake was seen trying to eat a pet cat. After receiving reports about the snake, they began a search and managed to find the snake within 20 minutes.

As South Florida's most popular snake catcher on social media, Snakeaholic has captured several giant snakes over the years but nothing compares to this one monster.

"It took all the expertise of tracking me and 20 minutes of search to find this snake in the woods," wrote Snakeaholic about his efforts to track the snake after it was driven down the mountain and away from the cat he had surrounded.

"Getting rid of these invasive apex predators is one step forward to restore a vulnerable ecosystem balance in Puerto Riko and I am proud to be part of this remarkable conservation effort!,"

By comparison, the longest sanca flower ever measured is 7.22 meters. The snake was a female sanca captured in Maros territory, South Arkwesi, Indonesia earlier this year called Mrs. Baron. There was once a claim about sanca flowers 10 meters in 1912, but never verified.

This is the largest ever captured on Puerto Riko Island, where it extends and threatens the local species, just like Santa or Burma pitons in Florida. In Threads, Kevin added more context to the catch that broke the record.

"No matter how amazing these snakes are, It's not the snake's fault, it's just a human mistake that put this non-endemic animal in," his writing, quoted seconds of Fox News.

The best way to deal with this invasive species, at least in Florida, is to capture humanity and annihilation to prevent growth. A giant flower sanca can lay 20 to 100 grains at once, where larger females usually lay 40-80 grains in one nest. It will lead to exponential growth if we don't deal with it immediately.
