Special skills required. Is that an Australian 482 visa? Look at the explanation

Visa 482 is one of Australia's choice visas. This visa is different from any other type of visa. What's visa 482?

Australia's 482 visa is a Skills in Deand Visa (subclass 482) or a temporary working visa that allows foreign labor to work in Australia with corporate sponsors that meet government requirements.

This visa was intended to fill a position that was difficult to fill with local labor with appropriate skills.

Based on the official Australian Government Department of Home Affairs page, Australia's 482 visa generally allows its holder to live and work in Australia for four years, depending on the terms of visa and route selected.

For the exception, certain Hong Kong passports can earn up to five years. This visa is temporary, so it doesn't automatically give permanent population status or Permanent residency.

There are three main pathways that can be selected for work, salary, and corporate treaties with the Australian government.

1. Core Skills Stream: For a job listed in the Core Skills Occulation List (CSOL), with a specific skill and salary requirement. Specialist Skills Stream: For a labor worker with special skills on a group of jobs that meet the provisions and minimum salary that is established. Labour Agreement Stream: for workers recruited through companies with labor agreements with the Australian government.

In general, the applicant must meet some following terms:

- Getting offered a job and nomination from a qualified sponsorship. Have relevant work skills and experience. The terms of experience are at least a year for the Core Skills and Specialist Skills, while the Labour Agreement line follows the terms of the agreement. Fulfill the terms of English ability, unless included in a valid exception. Fulfill health and character checks if required. Has a skill assessment or a profession permit if necessary for such work.

The terms could be different depending on visa paths, job types, and petitioner conditions.

Based on official Australian government information, visa filing fees for the main applicant of the Core Skills and Specialist Skills start at the AUD 4.015 or approximately Rp50.5 million. The cost for family members to file, health checks, English tests, as well as other documents' needs can increase the cost.

The amount needs to be rechecked before applying for visa fees can change. The sponsor companies also have a duty of cost that should not be easily charged to workers if forbidden by the rules.

Onederland's site adds, the visa application process usually begins by looking for Australian companies who are willing to recruit and sponsor foreign workers. The company then ensured the sponsor status, filed a job nomination, and the supplicant filed a visa with support documents through the Australian immigration system.

After the application is filed, the Australian State Department will assess the complexities of documents and the feasibility of applicants. Long processing differs, so no visa bail will be approved in a given time.

Visa 482 can open an opportunity to PR through a certain line, one of which is Employer Number Scheme (subclass 186).

However, the applicant still has to meet the terms of the selected homework line, including the terms of work, sponsors, experiences and other requirements. Possession of visa 482 alone does not guarantee homework approval.

Under the conditions that meet the requirements, the qualified family members can either apply for a visa or go to Australia. They need to meet the valid requirements and stay in their visas.

So we can conclude that Australia's 482 visa is one of the lines for foreign labor that wants to work legally in Australia through corporate sponsors. Good luck.
