Rifky's reaction is over for the first Indonesian Gold in Asian Games

Maulana Rifky Yafianda opened after winning the first gold medal for the Indonesian contingent in Asian Games 2026, Monday (19 / 10).

Indonesia won its first gold medal in the Asian Games 2026 through a swimming sport branch of the number 100 meter free-style son S12.

The gold medal came from Maulana Rifky after defeating Dmitry Khorlin from Uzbekistan and Genki Saito from Japan.

Quoted from Between, Rifky says the key to winning the gold medal in the 100-meter final of the S12 son freestyle is releasing the burden in the match.

"When it was this kind of competition, I always wanted to play loose, without any weight and I was so grateful to get gold," said Maulana Rifky after the race at Nagoya City General Gymnusium, Nagoya, Japan, Monday.

Rifky thinks his competitors put a lot of pressure on the finals. But since trying to play loose, Rifky ignored the pressure.

The time he ordered in the Asian finals the 2026 Games are no different than the time of training. That's why Rifky was happy to bring the supplies during rehearsal and apply it to the Asian Games final.

"All the training programs and facilities provided certainly helped me get to this point," said Rifky.

Maulana Rifky still has a chance of adding the Asian medal the 2026 Games because it will compete at the number 100 meter back style, 50 meter freestyle, and 100 meters of butterfly style.
