The Haji Quota Court, Khalid Basalamah Returns 354 Thousand US Dollar

In the case of the alleged corruption of extra hajji quota, author Khalid Basalamah confirmed his staff has returned US $354,500 to KPK.

Owner of the Zahra Oto-Manhud, Khalid Zed Abdullah Basalamah, admitted a return of money to the Corruption Commission worth US $354,500 by its staff. The money is believed to be related to the implementation of pilgrimage through additional quotas.

Khalid was delivered when the KPK Attorney (JPU) came forward as a witness in the case of suspected additional hajji corruption in 20232024 at the Corruption Court at the State Court (PN) Jakarta Center, Tuesday (20 / 10).

"As far as I know, did your staff ever put any money into a KPK shelter account?" asked the attorney for Greapic Loserte in front of the trial, Tuesday (20 / 10).

The prosecutor asked for the money the staff gave back to KPK.

"We showed a note on the list of evidence on 1588 Muhammad Ulfi Makhrija, 1890 and 1891, three names with three details. We started one at a time. Yes, sir. This is evidence, the Chairman's permission, evidence number 1590, there's a sum of money in 100 US dollars. If in evidence it says something like this, $354,500 in cash in $100 US bills. Brother found out about this?" asked the prosecutor.

"This money brother can tell me, is this money next to being handed over by Ulfi's name?" continued the prosecutor again.

The DA's going through US $200,000 impound. Khalid confirmed the seizure.

"Next up is evidence number 1591. We have a foreclosure, our investigators are doing a foreclosure for a certain amount of money that was transferred through the BNI bank.

Khalid gave a statement as a witness to four defendants being processed by law in the case of alleged damage of the extra hajji quota 2023-2024 which is suspected to harm the state's financials number Rp622.09,166.41 (Rp622 billion) - based on the Treasury Report on the Treasury (BPA) RPK.

They are former Minister of Religion 20192024, Yaqut Choll Qoumas; a Special Staff called Yaqut Abidal Azis Gus Alex; Director of Operations Maktour, Ishmael Adham; and the Chairman of the Public Association of Kesthuri Rekawal Exsati Major, Asrul Azaba.

This case is suspected to also enrich a number of other parties including 313 Special Haji Enforcers (PlHK).
