"We have given a lot to Ukraine - they have given us nothing": US President Trump intensifies his tone against Zelensky. The Ukrainian president, in turn, accuses the US of withholding arms shipments. US President Donald Trump has accused Ukraine of not providing adequate returns for the support from the US. "We have given a lot to Ukraine - they have given us nothing. Don't forget that," he said in Washington. According to Trump, someone other than Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should conduct peace negotiations with Russia. "Perhaps it is time for Zelensky to let someone else negotiate," Trump said before reporters. He recently called for the removal of the Ukrainian head of state. Russia is behaving "correctly" regarding Ukraine and does "not do much," Trump added. He also expressed openness to a trilateral summit with Kremlin chief Putin and Chinese leader Xi on the sidelines of the APEC meeting in China in November. Zelensky complains about delayed delivery of defensive missiles Meanwhile, Zelensky lamented that Washington is withholding arms shipments. Delays in arms deliveries and restrictions on intelligence sharing are "difficult to explain among friends," he said at a meeting with a US congressional delegation. According to Zelensky, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is not approving the delivery of "Patriot" and other air defense missiles, despite NATO countries having already paid for them. "All of this suggests that a political decision has been made to reduce support for us," Zelensky said. A senior official from the Defense Department countered these claims. There have been no changes in the program through which NATO countries purchase US weapons for Ukraine, he told the dpa news agency. The same applies to intelligence-sharing.
