AfD hacked: These mails fit into the picture
The AfD leadership plays down the leaked mails of the party. As if it had left racism and anti-Semitism behind.
The AfD leadership is still trying to downplay what happened in September: Only parts of “some fewer” and for years no longer used mailboxes were captured in a hacker attack in September, which the party leadership now confirmed. But even with the first reviews on the day of publication, there are also mails from the year 2026 among them; Even the number of more than 400,000 copied mails is not small. This does not exactly make the party’s appeasements credible. Nevertheless, caution is required. Even if experts consider the authenticity of the stolen mails plausible in initial assessments, it is not proven. Already the battle of interpretation is raging already the battle for the interpretation of the published mails, in which it is teeming with anti-Semitic, racist and inhumane statements of all kinds, Ku Klux clan images are shared and the Holocaust is denied. “If the data is real, then the AfD is at the end,” posts a user on X. It is the hope of many opponents of the AfD and possibly also of those hacker activists that the party only finally has to be pulled down the mask in order to do it politically. So far, however, it has not hurt the party to repeatedly and openly cross borders that set decency, historical research and social agreement. In this respect, the now published communication unfortunately fits well into the picture.
