Arah Manut Trump, Vice President Vance Removing Netanyahu's Auction at Israel Elections

Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, refuses to express support for the prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, in the Israeli elections.

Vance's attitude differs from President U.S. Donald Trump, who recently publicly declared his full support to Netanyahu.

Vance claims he doesn't want to get involved in Israeli politics because he wants to focus on the part-time election in the US.

The statement was delivered in an interview with journalist Mark Halperin on the Air Force Two Air Force plane on Monday (19 / 10).

"I support the American candidate, and my focus is part-time. I will not be involved in Israeli elections," Vance said, quoted from CNN.

He also confirmed neither supporting nor defying Trump's decision that gave support to Netanyahu.

"I'm not against his support. I also do not support his support. I didn't intervene in Israel's elections,

Vance's statement appeared nine days before the Israeli elections were held. Earlier, Trump was able to refrain from expressing support for Netanyahu.

In an interview with Time magazine in early October, Trump said "I no longer engage in politics [Israel]."

However, that attitude changed on Saturday (17 / 10) when Trump publicly expressed support for Netanyahu through the upload on social media. Trump calls Netanyahu "Prime Minister of the Great Warrior."

The differences of the two U.S. officials' attitudes came before Israel. Vance chose not to give support to any candidate, whereas Trump publicly supports Netanyahu.

Vance's attitude also drew attention because he had traveled to Budapest, Hungary, to support the Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, before the elections in the country. Orbán, who got Trump's support, eventually lost the election.

Meanwhile, the US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, made a surprise visit to Israel a few days before the elections took place. Information on the visit was delivered by two sources who knew about the matter and a U.S. official.

According to Israeli sources who know the details of the visit and other sources that understand the issue, Hegseth met with Netanyahu and the Secretary of Defense of Israel, Israel Katz, on Monday (19 / 10) that night.
