The governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung has declared the Black Bamboo emblem and the Bankang Stone at Ciopol, East Jakarta, Monday (19 / 10).

Both bubbles with the total capacity to contain 36,550 cubic meters became part of the Provincial Government's efforts.

Pramono says both bubbles are built by the Air Resource Service DKI Jakarta with a green-infrastructure approach and a natural-based solution.

In addition to functioning as a water tank, the bubble region was also developed into a public space that society could exploit.

"The Bankong Stone and Black Bamboo Element was built by the DKI Air Resources Service in 2025 through a green blue approach and natural-based solution or Nature-based Solutions. Built as a waterbending tool, a standard water source, as well as a public interaction room," said Pramono in written description, Monday (19 / 10).

Bankang Stone emblem built on a land of 1.3 hectares, with a wide body of water 0.58 hectares and a capacity of 20,300 cubic meters.

Meanwhile, the Black Bamboo emblem has an area of approximately 2.1 hetare, the area of water 0.50 hectares, and the capacity of a 16,250 cubic meters.

Pramono explains the existence of bubbles to be one of the solutions to hold and hold rainwater so that it doesn't directly burden the drainage system and river streams.

The infrastructure also supports water conservation in the surrounding areas.

In addition to functioning as waterbending infrastructure, both bubbles are equipped with waste water treatment installations, jogging paths, children's playground, citizen hall, multitasking fields, and sunken plaza.

That area can be used for community activity when conditions are dry and it acts as an extra grab when it rains.

Pramono insists the handling of the flood should be carried through sustainable prevention, not just when it rains or pubes.

Therefore, the Jakarta DKI prov continues to develop waterbending infrastructure, including bubbles, reservoirs, and normalization of rivers.

"The DKI Jakarta government, in regards to the handling of the flood, is not only so sudden that new rain is done by its activities or its handling. We're more of a precaution, so I'm asking because it's been good and used for free by the people, but I'm asking for the treatment to be completely handled," he said.
