After his home was searched, the boss of PT CMC is being questioned again in the Rejang Lebong case

The KPK has once again questioned the Managing Director of PT Cahaya Mas Cemerlang (CMC), Eko Yusanto (EY), in connection with the ongoing investigation into a bribery case involving projects in Rejang Lebong Regency and Bengkulu City. This is the second time Eko has been questioned following a search of his home in East Jakarta by the KPK some time ago.

“The questioning of witnesses is part of the ongoing investigation into alleged corruption offences relating to bribery in the procurement of goods and services within the Rejang Lebong Regency administration and other areas in Bengkulu Province,” explained KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists, Tuesday (20 October 2026).

In addition to Eko, KPK investigators also summoned the former First Deputy Chair of the Rejang Lebong Regency PAN Regional Representative Council (DPD), B Daditama, for the third time as a witness in connection with this case. The first questioning by the KPK took place on Wednesday (8 April), whilst the second was on Tuesday (14 July).

Budi has not yet disclosed what aspects the investigators intend to probe further with regard to the two individuals.

“The questioning took place at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building,” said Budi.

The KPK first questioned Eko on Wednesday (9 September). This questioning took place the day after the KPK raided Eko’s home in East Jakarta.

Meanwhile, during the two previous questioning sessions, the KPK grilled Daditama regarding the project arrangements made by the suspended Regent of Rejang Lebong, M Fikri Thobari. Daditama is one of the individuals in the Regent’s inner circle and is considered one of Regent Fikri’s trusted associates.

“Investigators sought statements and confirmation from the witness regarding the arrangement of projects within Rejang Lebong Regency,” said Budi.

Investigators also questioned Daditama in depth regarding his knowledge of payments received by Regent Fikri.

“This includes (an investigation into) the witness’s knowledge of alleged payments received by the Regent of Rejang Lebong,” explained Budi.

In this case, the KPK has named five individuals as suspects. The details are as follows: 1. Muhammad Fikri Thobari, Regent of Rejang Lebong for the term 2025–2030; 2. Hary Eko Purnomo, Head of the Rejang Lebong Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas (PUPRPKP); 3. Irsyad Satria Budiman, a private individual from PT Statika Mitra Sarana; 4. Edi Manggala, a private individual from CV Manggala Utama; 5. Youki Yusdiantoro, a private individual from CV Alpagker Abadi.

Regent Fikri is alleged to have received a total of Rp 1.7 billion in bribes from several projects. The case began when the Rejang Lebong Regency Government was set to undertake a number of projects in early 2026.

Asep Guntur Rahayu, Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at the KPK, previously explained that the projects were managed by the Rejang Lebong Regency Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Agency (PUPRPKP). Asep stated that the total project budget at the Rejang Lebong Regency PUPRPKP amounted to Rp 91.13 billion.

Asep said the bribes, totalling Rp 980 million, were paid in instalments via intermediaries. Furthermore, Asep added, the amounts paid by the three parties varied.

Asep said there were allegations of further payments to Fikri totalling Rp 775 million. He suspected that these acts had been carried out on multiple occasions.
