Ukrainian drone attacks in Russia, Trump Murka to Zelensky

Ukraine launched a massive drone strike on Russian soil on Saturday (17 / 10) local time.

The attack made the President of the United States Donald Trump angry at the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump was upset because the Ukraine was still attacking one of the Russian's most important oil terminals despite being reminded of the Republican leader not to invade the infrastructure.

Tensions between Ukraine and the United States have been increasing recently after Trump released an exception policy that freed Russia from a thorough economic sanctions as the US Congress has authorized.

The exception was after Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to sell diesel fuel to the US, quoted from CNN.

In his interview with "Meet the Press" program in NBC News, Zelensky stated that if the U.S. sided with Russia, it would be "historical error."

In an upload in Truth Social on Sunday, Trump stated that he did not want to do anything that could keep Russia from negotiating to end the war in Ukraine, as he added that his "great progress is being achieved."

At the same time, he hurled a violent stroke against Zelensky, saying that Zelensky "didn't want to end this war, and probably never wanted to."

Nevertheless, Zelensky revealed that he had spoken with a special envoy of the United States, Steve Witkoff, as well as Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, on Sunday. That conversation was part of "relentless communication" to attempt to reach peace.

"We did everything in our power to make this happen, and made sure that America's position was strong enough to help speed things up," Zelensky wrote on his upload on the X.

However, Ukraine continues to launch a long-distance attack on Russian soil. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims to have shot down a Ukrainian drone all night until Sunday in various parts of the country.
