Former coach of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag blatantly told me about the poor culture in the sphere of The Red Devils.
It was revealed by Ten Hag in his interview with The Athletic, like the Daily Mail.
Ten Hag trained MU from 2022 to get fired in October 2025. During MU training, Ten Hag was in conflict with players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, up to Jadon Sancho.
Ten Hag claims that he was not supported by the club to uphold discipline during training there. The former Amsterdam Ajax coach was known as the authoritarian figure in the locker room.
For example, Rashford was cut off from the core team while fighting Wolverhampton Wanderers at Premier League. Because Rashford overslept and was late for his team meeting.
"So they continue to destabilize the toxic culture; they just treat it and give power to the players," said Ten Hag.
"Rashford is an extraordinary player, provided his mindset is correct. I always show it to him and often play it. However, when certain standards are not met, sometimes you have to do correction."
During MU, Ten Hag won two English League cup 2022 / 2024 and the FA 2023 / 2024 Cup.
