Zulhas Expose 26,385 MBG Kitchen Meet Operation Critics

The Minister of Food Field Coordinator Hulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) revealed 26385 Gizi (SPPG) Service Service Unit alias Free Bergizi Eating Kitchen

That number is 97.6 percent of the total MBG kitchen per early October, 27.022 kitchen.

Zulhas explained that the SPPG which meets the criteria should have a certificate of Laik Higiene Sanitation (SLHS), is not being suspended from temporary operations, nor has any record of fatal or extraordinary events. Not only that, the SPPG must also serve over a thousand beneficiaries.

"In the BGN there's been an operational SpPG enquiry of 26,385 graduated, Does that mean good? Good, that means having SLHS, not suspended, no fatal events, no extraordinary events, and serving above a thousand," said Zulhas in the Limited Minister of Food Field Coordinator in Jakarta, Monday (19 / 10).

Oversight is done to ensure the quality and quantity of food that is distributed to the beneficiary is kept awake. Oversight also includes financial aspects and kitchen management accountability.

Later on, Chief BGN Sudaryono called a joint inspection of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and waste water treatment installations.

More importantly, the BGN also follows up on local government recommendations regarding the state of the kitchen which has not yet met its standards.

It looks like it could stop its kitchen from getting into trouble, like a bad waste management or a clean food treatment condition. In fact, permanent termination can be carried out on the recommendation of the local government's task force.

Aside from a live check, the BGN is testing the kitchen monitoring system through security cameras or CCTV connected to the center. About 70 kitchens followed the trials.

Sudaryono explained the CCTV footage will later be helped by artificial intelligence technology or artificially intelligence to monitor compliance to standard operating procedures.

Monitoring covers many stages, from food management and preparation to sink food containers or pulses.

Then, BGN also considered giving limited access to monitoring to certain parties, such as headmaster, teacher, and student parents. That access mechanism still needs to pay attention to the security aspects.

Sudaryono said that BGN is also repairing the complaint system to report from beneficiaries, parents, school parties, or partners can be actionable faster and systematic.

Furthermore, BGN has provided a number of complaint channels, including postboxes and special email addresses for various parties involved in the execution of the MBG program.

Enhancement of the surveillance and the complaint became part of trying to improve the management of the program, including making sure nutritious foods are distributed to the right beneficiaries.
